Creative Commons Qatar Officially Launched!

What an incredible evening our launch was! Thank you to everyone who came to the official launch of Creative Commons Qatar. The atmosphere was electric and it was energizing to be surrounded by so many of Qatar’s creative people.

The launch of Creative Commons Qatar could not have happened without the support of ictQATAR. They took the lead in organizing the launch – which was nothing short of spectacular. A special thank you also goes to Al Jazeera for their participation in the launch; it is wonderful to have their support and the remarks from their Director General Wadah Khanfar’s speech were truly inspiring. However, the most inspiring part of the launch was truly the showcase of all the local creatives who shared their work. We had bloggers, photographers, visual artists, architects, graphic designers and web developers. This is the start of an incredible CC community in Qatar.
