Want to have your photograph featured on the cover of Qatar’s leading events magazine? Creative Commons Qatar and Qatar Happening are excited to announce a photo competition for the cover of QH’s September edition. Qatar Happening reaches more than 40,000 readers each month – most of whom are the movers and shakers in the country.
To enter, professional and amateur photographers can submit their photos to Creative Commons Qatar using the Entry Form. The deadline for submissions is July 25, 2011.
All photos entered in the contest will be made available through the CC Qatar Flickr page under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License, which will put the photographs in the public realm, but require attribution of the works to the photographer and require any use of the photography to be reported back.
Photographs must be taken in Qatar, be color and should be culturally appropriate. QH also prefers photographs that are not explicitly of people – think artsy – and also can not publish photographs with clear or recognizable brands in them. Full photo requirements are below.
Qatar Happening and Creative Commons Qatar will choose the winning photograph. Additional photographs entered in the contest may be displayed within the pages of Qatar Happening.
